Program Overview

The PSG NKU MBA program, a collaboration between PSG Institute of Advanced Studies and Northern Kentucky University, prepares graduates for workplace success and advancement. Students can specialize in various concentration areas aligned with market demand. The capstone project helps students apply their learning in decision-making. About half of the courses are taught by faculty from Northern Kentucky University. The program offers excellent placement opportunities in both the US and India. NKU’s location in a business hub with numerous Fortune 500 companies provides enhanced internship and placement prospects, especially for students progressing to the US for their second year of study.

Duration & Eligibility
  • A Bachelor’s Degree* in any discipline from a recognised university with minimum 75% marks in aggregate.
  • A MAT score (Dec 2022 / Feb 2023 / May 2023) greater than 550
  • The MAT requirement will be waived for students who have 3 years of significant work experience and have demonstrated leadership potential through work experience, community service, research projects, extracurricular activities (A Statement of Purpose is required for such candidates)
  • An English Language Proficiency score# from TOEFL / IELTS / Duolingo of not less than 79 (550 paper based) / 6.5 / 115 respectively.
Selection Process
  • The PSG Institute of Management’s admission process involves Group Discussions and/or Personal Interviews, which may vary based on the program applied for. Shortlisting criteria consider candidates’ overall profiles, including academic performance, work experience, diversity, community contributions, extracurricular achievements, performance in the admission process, entrance examination scores, and English language proficiency (requirements may vary by program).
  • Invited applicants must attend the admission process in person at PSGIM or specific locations on the designated date and time. Successful completion of all stages is essential for eligibility to receive an offer from PSGIM.
  • The selection list is program-specific, and being selected for one program does not guarantee automatic shortlisting or selection for another.

2 Yr Program

PSG-NKU MBA Admissions 2024-25

This is a four-semester two-year full-time program. It offers various concentration areas such as Analytics, Supply Chain Management.

This program has two pathways:

Pathway 1: To study both the years at PSG and the degree awarded by Northern Kentucky University 

Pathway 2: To study first year at PSG and Secon5 year at the Northern Kentucky University and degree awarded by Northern Kentucky University.

The tuition fee for the program is approximately INR 10, 00,000 for both the pathways and student will have to bear the living expenses for pathway 2. The duration of the program is two years. NKU is accredited by AACSB and the program is taught by a mix of international faculty from the Northern Kentucky University, USA and PSG faculty at the PSG campus. Students who wish to apply for this program has the option of doing their second year fall and spring at the Northern Kentucky University, USA campus.

    (Students are required to have valid language scores even if they are pursuing their second year in India)

    Selection is through group discussion and personal interviews.

The minimum credit is 33 and a CGPA of 3.0 is required to graduate from this course

Level 1 Comprising of basic courses and allied subjects to familiarize and prepare students for upcoming semesters 

Level 2 – Foundation level courses comprising of introductory graduate level management course.

Level 3 –  Specialization courses offered by NKU / PSG faculty 

Level 4 –  Core courses offering in depth coverage of key facets of management and business studies including MBA Practicum

There are many opportunities to work in on campus jobs in NKU Campus, USA. 

A student can work 20 hours a week and the wage ranges from $5 -$10 per hour.

There are numerous opportunities for students as NKU is located in Highland Heights, Kentucky—just seven miles southeast of Cincinnati a regional Supply chain hub for many fortune 500 companies.

The career center at NKU and career advisors in the College of Business at NKU will help with job placement for Pathway II.

 The Corporate Relations Center offers a common platform for all MBA graduate that can be availed by student pursuing pathway I

Students completing their course in the US and fulfilling the required criteria will have a stay back period of one year after their course.
