About PSGIAS

PSG Institute of Advanced Studies (PSGIAS) was founded by PSG and Sons’ Charities trust to promote high quality research in some niche areas of science and technology, as well as to create opportunities to PSG Institutions to collaborate with universities abroad.

The mandate of the institute is:

  • Identify and establish R & D facilities niche areas in Science and Technology and recruit core faculty and staff.
  • Establish research facilities in selected areas through public and private funding.
  • Explore academic linkage for PSG Institutions with industries, institutions and R & D organizations at National and International level.
  • Plan joint academic programmes with reputed universities.

Program Overview

The PSG – Leeds Beckett University MBA program is a 18-month joint program that provides students with a comprehensive and rigorous education in the management. The program is designed to prepare students for successful careers in a variety of industries. Students will undertake the first semester at PSG and upon completion will progress to the next stage of their academic journey by transitioning to Leeds Beckett University in Leeds, UK, where they will ultimately earn their MBA degree.

16 months; First Semester will be at PSG and the next two semesters will be at Leeds, UK. 

Eligibility:

To be eligible for admission to the PSG – Leeds Beckett University MBA program, applicants must have a  bachelor’s degree from an accredited university. 

For admission to the Leeds Beckett University (LBU) MBA program, a strong command of the English language is essential. It is essential that candidates possess either of the following*:

  •  IELTS – Overall score of 6.0 is with no individual skill score below 5.5 or equivalent
  •  Indian School Certificate (Class-XII) (CISCE) – English Grade required – 70%
  •  All India Senior School Certificate (CBSE)- English Grade required – 70%

Frequently Asked Questions

This MBA program has one semester of study at PSG and two semesters at Leeds Business School. The degree is offered by Leeds Beckett University.

The tuition fee will be approximately INR 11,50,000. In addition to the tuition, the student has to bear the living expenses for their stay at Leeds, UK. 

A Bachelor’s Degree* in any discipline from a recognised university (AIU) with minimum 60% marks in aggregate.

An IELTS score of at least 6, with no skill below than 5.5. 

Selection to the program is based on the academic performance of the student in the UnderGraduate course.  The final selection will be based on Group Discussion and Personal Interview. Candidates with work experience will have an added advantage.

As Leeds is the 3rd largest city in the UK and one of the fastest growing economies, there are ample opportunities for part-time work. Working part-time helps them to be independent and learn new skills that will be useful for their career.

When at Leeds, students can work up to 20 hours per week on part-time jobs and the wages range from £8.36 per hour

There are several opportunities available. However, securing an internship depends upon the knowledge, skill and attitude of the individual student. A strong profile and ability to choose the internships that match with one’s profile will be a definite click.

As students’ progress to Leeds for completion of their course, they will be eligible to avail the career support services at LBU. Support on areas like resume development, networking using LinkedIn, training for pre-placement, mock interviews, placement fair etc.

UK offers a two-year post-study work visa on successful completion of the program.
