PSGIM celebrates the commendable achievement of Carol Fredina Nithiyakumar, MBA’24. Graduating from the MBA program offered by PSG and Leeds Beckett University, she was awarded “The Dean’s Prize for the Most Outstanding Student on MBA Graduate Masters in Business Administration,” a title that rewards her academic excellence and significant contributions to the program, thus bringing immense pride to the PSG community.
Asher Josh Immanuel (23AC07) won the Gold medal in the National Best Student Paper Category at the 35th AIMS Annual Management Education Convention hosted at the Master School of Management, Meerut, UP, India, on February 23 to 25, 2025.
Daksha 2025:
A team of MBA students participated in an intercollegiate competition conducted by SSN School of Management, Chennai, and secured the position of runner-up in the operations team event on October 25, 2024.
Gokul S. (24AC17) participated in the chess zonal representing PSG College of Technology and won first prize on October 9, 2024.
Abishek M K (24AD02), Darsan Moorthy D (24AD06), Ramprasath K C (24AD29), and Ramya P (24AD30) emerged as runners-up in the marketing event, “Adgorithm” at Sri Krishna College of Engineering, Coimbatore, on March 21, 2025.
Krishnamurthi B (24AC07), Arunachalam S (24AC47), and Matheshwar K (24AA27) secured third place in Resurge (Finance event), conducted from March 19-21, 2025, at Alliance University, Bangalore.
Case Master:
MBA (Waste Management and Social Entrepreneurship) students: Dhanushri N (24AW05) and Vishnu Priya V (24AW31) emerged as runners-up among 20 participating teams in Case Master: Solving Business Puzzles – an exclusive event designed to enhance MBA students’ analytical and problem-solving skills through real-world business challenges. The award ceremony was held on March 8, 2025.
Students from PSGIM won the Overall Championship title at “Pragati ‘25” hosted by Amrita School of Business, Coimbatore, on March 3-4, 2025. They were the winners of several stream-based events, including HR, Marketing, Analytics, Operations, and Finance.
MBA (Waste Management and Social Entrepreneurship) students volunteered for an initiative on February 19 and 20, 2025, to raise awareness about the responsible use of plastic. As part of this effort, they visited 129 government schools in and around Coimbatore, educating students about the harmful effects of plastic waste. This campaign was carried out in collaboration with People4Good and was funded by Way for Life and ITC.
A team of MBA students won the Overall Runner-Up Championship title at the “Prabandhaz 25,” an All India intercollegiate competition conducted by Tamil Nadu Agricultural University, Coimbatore on February 26-27, 2025. The winners of the HR event: Praveen Mano M (24AC36); Swathi R (24AC43); Dharanidharan U (24AW06). Winners of the marketing event: Harshit K (24AD13) and Sudharshan B (24AD43). Runners of the finance event: Mohammed Ashik (24AD21) and Sandeep R (24AD35).
Gokul. S (24AC17) participated in CENTIES Chess Tournament held at Kongu Engineering College on February 26, 2025, and finished as a runner-up. The CENTIES Association organizes the multi-sport tournament for students from the Coimbatore, Tirupur, Nilgiri, and Erode districts of Tamil Nadu.
Harish (24AA17), Kishore Kumar (24AA26), and Saishree (24AA37) were the winners of the finance stream-based event, Stock Mafia at the “Prometheus 25”, an intercollegiate Event hosted by XIME, Chennai on February 24-25, 2025.

Winners of HR stream-based competition: Veladicharan (23AC13), Vasundhara (23AC43), Akshaya (23AC04) and the Best Manager Runner: Drisha (23AD44).
A group of MBA students participated in Chrysalis 2025, organized by Loyola Institute of Business Administration (LIBA), Chennai, on February 12, 2025. MBA (Waste Management and Social Entrepreneurship) students were the winners of the operations event (OPSCAPE). The winners are Chandara Meenu A (24AW02), Deekshika S (24AW03), Dharshana S (24AW07) and Harinee P (24AW15).
A group of students from PSGIM participated in the annual intercollegiate event, “Urjith 2025,” organized by GRG School of Management Studies (GRG SMS), Coimbatore, on January 28, 2025. They won in categories such as Best Management Team, The Social Innovators, and Brand Bytes – Digital Marketing Competition, and were the runners-up in the Brand Bytes Competition.
A team of PSGIM students participated in the Nisdya 2025, a management fest hosted by the Department of Management Studies, NIT Trichy, on January 10-11, 2025. They won the overall trophy and were the winners of the events: Strategy Sprint (Analytics), HR Event, Marketing Event, Operations Event and Best Manager.
Two students of PSGIM presented the following research papers at the 6th International Conference on Machine Learning, Image Processing, Network Security and Data Sciences (MIND 2024), conducted by the National Institute of Technology, Goa on December 20-21, 2024.
- Abi Priyanka B (23AD01) presented a research paper on “Impact of Perceived Threat, Peer Influence, and Facilitating Conditions on the Intention to Adopt AI in Banking: A Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) Approach.”
- Siva Vignesh B (23AD36) presented a research paper on “Assessing Flow state and streaming success using a structural equational model for enhancing binge-watching engagement.”

A team of MBA students from PSGIM participated in Vyuha’24, a National Level Young Business Minds Meet – 2024, conducted by Sri Krishna College of Engineering and Technology on April 24, 2024. The student team won first and second prizes in Finance Frenzy, a Finance event, and first prize in Leadership League, an HR event.
