A Legacy of Education, marching to Leadership

PSG Institute of Management (PSGIM) stems from the PSG & Sons’ Charities Trust, a pillar of Indian education for social progress. This commitment to empowerment through learning began in 1966 with the Department of Management Sciences at PSG College of Technology. Management education was started to cater to the needs of entrepreneurs from Coimbatore to impart managerial skills. The Department metamorphosed into the PSG Institute of Management, a full-fledged institution, in 1994.
From its modest start, PSGIM has flourished, driven by the vision of becoming a leading private business school in India. With over 50 years of experience, it is a pioneer in South Indian management education. The institute actively collaborates with global educational partners in the US and Europe to stay at the forefront.

Research at PSGIM

Local Focus, Global Impact

PSG Institute of Management prioritizes research that benefits both academia and industry, with a specific focus on the region it serves. The institute is dedicated to pushing the boundaries of knowledge across various management disciplines.

A Hub for Diverse Expertise

PSGIM boasts a faculty with a wide range of expertise, fostering a research environment that encourages exploration across fields like finance, marketing, operations, human resources, strategy, entrepreneurship and business analytics. Researchers employ a combination of rigorous empirical studies, theoretical frameworks, and industry collaborations to tackle pressing challenges faced by businesses and society as a whole..

Breaking Down Barriers, Sharing Knowledge, Shaping Leaders

The institute further strengthens its research culture by emphasizing interdisciplinary approaches. This approach breaks down traditional boundaries, leading to investigations that combine insights from different fields. By disseminating research findings through academic publications, conferences, and consulting projects, PSG Institute of Management not only advances knowledge but also improves management practices and cultivates the next generation of business leaders.
