Dr. H. Raman., Professor of Economics has an expertise in Industrial Economics and Monetary Economics. After completing an MA Economics at PSG Arts and Science College, he obtained M.Phil degree in Economics with specialisation in Monetary and Mathematical Economics. Subsequently, he joined The Central Leather Research Institute as Economic Investigator and conducted extensive research. He joined in the Department of Economics, University of Madras. He has completed Ph.D degree in the area of Industrial Economics. He has served for 27 years in various capacities in the Postgraduate and Research Department of Economics under the Directorate of Tamil Nadu, Collegiate Educational Service. He has published several research articles in various national and international journals apart from contributing research articles to daily News papers such as the Hindu and the New Indian Express. He has guided several M.Phil and Ph.D students. He has successfully completed two research projects funded by UGC. He has chaired numerous seminar sessions and presented more than 50 seminar papers relating to various economic issues. He is a life member in the Indian Economic Association.
