• National Research Nuclear University “MEPhI”, Moscow, November 2015. She visited this university as part of the BRICS Students meet and Association of BRICS Business School Summit. The Seventh BRICS Summit was organized by Network AML, CFT Institute. Panel discussions on topics including- Perspectives and strategic priorities of BRICS in the world economy, Partnership of BRICS countries as a powerful factor of global development, the multiplier effect of the BRICS and the steady growth of BRICS countries and risks of international financial markets were part of the event. She also interacted with the Indian Ambassador Mr. P.S.Raghavan and Ms Anjali Pandey, Ministry, Embassy of India in Moscow on the possibilities of collaborations and tie-ups for research.
• Harvard Business School, Carnegie Mellon University, University of Pittsburg , Kellogs Business School, Illinois Institute of Technology: The short visit to the top B-School’s of the world was an eye- opener into the possibility of designing and executing innovative pedagogy in a B-School. Practical exposure was gained through lectures and interaction with the faculty and students. The diversity of the students and their experience in the industry lends a lot of credence to the case discussion and arguments at Harvard which was a huge learning experience
• College of Business and Innovation, University of Toledo: As part of the faculty exchange programme with the university, Dr.Uma visited the college to understand the pedagogy and curriculum of a B-School in the international context. She was with the University for a short period as an adjunct faculty.
• Gardner Webb University – Godbold School of Business. Dr Uma handled sessions at the University on topics relating to Strategic Management in the Indian scenario. Teaching the students of a foreign University was a big learning experience.
