An Electrical and Electronics Engineer from PSG College of Technology (Gold Medalist), with an MBA in HR, Deepa joined PSGIM in 2011, after a stint of 8 years in the Industry. Prior to joining PSGIM, Deepa pursued her full time PhD in Emotional Intelligence, which she secured in the year 2012 from Anna University. In her industrial tenure, Deepa was the Vice President HR of an MNC operating from Coimbatore and California. She is also well versed with the ISO procedures.

During her PhD, Deepa developed a tool to measure the Emotional Intelligence of adults and in the process had copyrighted the same. The tool is called Deepa Krishnaveni Emotional Intelligence Test (DKEIT) and has been used in many research studies. Her passion to share her knowledge drove her to academics. In her academic career, Deepa has worked on AICTE and UGC funded projects on Emotional Intelligence and has in turn developed an Emotional Intelligence Test and training program for medical students. She received the Gold Medal from the Association of Indian Management Schools in 2015 and 2021 and the Bronze Award from the Indian Management Conclave for her innovative teaching methodologies. She was presented with the AIMS International Outstanding Management Teacher Award in 2020 and the “Woman Achiever of the Year” award in 2018. She secured the CMA-STC Best Management Researcher of the year award from CMA in February 2022 and the Vocational Excellence award from Rotary Club of Coimbatore Cotton City in January 2023.

Deepa has designed a course “Emotional Intelligence for Managers”, which she has been offering at PSGIM since 2015. A certified NLP practitioner and Counsellor, Deepa has been training managers, faculty and students on Emotional Intelligence.  She has delivered sessions in India and abroad and these experiences encouraged her to publish a book “Unearthing your emotional intelligence” in the year 2020. With over 40 publications to her credit, Deepa has secured Best Paper Awards Emerald and BITS Pilani and Best Case Award from IIM Ahmedabad.. Her passion to promote EI as a path to well-being keeps her going.
